Latest information on Dragon Quest Anime: Dai no Daibouken (2020). Anime Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken (Dragon Quest Dai’s Great Adventure) just announced some important information yesterday (27/5). The anime, which is a remake of the anime of the same title, which was released in 1991 will be filled by a line of leading voice actors (seiyuu).

The information was announced through a special broadcast by Square Enix’s official Youtube channel for the manga magazine VJump. It was announced on the day of Dragon Quest (Dragon Quest no hi), to commemorate the 34th anniversary of the release of the Dragon Quest I (NES/Famicon) game in Japan.

Synopsis Dragon Quest

Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken tells the story of Dai, the only human child who lives with the good monsters on the island of Delmurin. Dai who dreams of becoming a hero is raised by Brass, a wise monster elder.

Avan, the hero visits the island of Delmurin with his comrades. At that time, Hadlar the demon king who had previously been defeated by Avan suddenly rose and became stronger. Hadlar returns to kill Avan, causing Avan to risk his life to save Dai and Pop, one of Avan’s students.

Suddenly, a mysterious power emerges from Dai’s forehead that can dispel Hadlar’s existence for a moment. After that event, Dai and Pop’s adventure to save the world from Hadlar’s evil power begins.

To welcome the release of the latest version of the Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken anime, a full-episode Blu-ray set of the 1991 anime version is available which has gone through the remastering process. The collector’s set comes with a box with special illustrations and a bonus Gome-chan rubber strap.

The 2nd game, Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken Tamashii No Kizuna, is a mobile game for Android and iOS. The game is scheduled to be released next year (2021).

The last game, Infinity Strash Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken, is an action RPG game console. Until this information is published, there is no certainty about which console will get the game and its release date.

The manga was written by Sanjo Riku as scriptwriter and Shibata Yuusaku (ZIPMAN) for the drawings. The plan will be published in the manga magazine VJump precisely when this anime airs.

Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken (2020) anime is produced by Toei and directed by Karasawa Kazuya. The character designs were done by Miyamoto Emiko, Fujii Ayaka as art director, and Hayashi Yuki as music composer. Yuji Horii is mentioned as directing the original manga.

The latest version of the Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken anime is scheduled to be released in October 2020 in Japan.
