Anime Review: Fruits Basket: The Final (2021). The main strength of shoujo anime lies in its allure which can grip those who are relatively difficult to provoke other anime genres, namely women. In the anime realm, their number is probably far less than the male fans. However, when an anime can earn votes in this segment, the anime certainly has a loyal fan base. In fact, in certain cases, they tend to be militant.
For that reason, Kimi ni Todoke, Tonari no Kaibutsu-Kun, or the Ouran Koukou Host Club series get a fairly high rating even though the existence of these anime is (almost) rarely echoed in male chat circles. Likewise with the anime titled Fruits Basket first aired in 2001 ago.

Storyline Fruits Basket
Fruits Basket focuses on Tohru Honda, a teenage girl who is in high school. As an orphan, he had no place to fight. One day, Tohru accidentally breaks into Sohma’s residence and meets Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure.
Knowing how miserable this kawaii girl’s life is, Yuki and Shigure offer her one of the rooms in their house for her to live in. However, not even a few minutes have passed since occupying this new room, Tohru has been faced with a secret that has been tightly guarded by the Sohma Family.
These three people are afflicted with a curse that is closely related to the Chinese zodiac tradition, the term symbolizing the 12 animals that represent a certain time in Chinese astrology. Since then, his life story has become much more interesting.
Even though it has a supernatural smell with a plot foundation spiced with astrology Fruits Basket is still oriented to its nature as a shoujo anime filled with drama and romance.
As far as the broadcast until episode 8, you won’t be surprised by a sudden horror scene that makes your heart drop. Indeed, some scenes are built with a slight hostage feel to misgivings only to be dropped by a witty twist moments later.
Tohru was asked to be a girl who was contested by the two coolest boys. They are Kyo and Yuki Soma. Kyo and Yuki each represent the cat and mouse zodiac.
Kyo is a typical short-axis tsundere who is easily irritable and can never openly express his feelings. Unlike Yuki, the calm and versatile prince who seems to have a very fragile soul regarding this curse. Despite having opposite characteristics, the qualities of the two are described as not too lame and have an equal chance of winning Tohru’s heart.
