Yuukoku no Moriarty

Yuukoku no Moriarty tells the story of the end of the 19th century, the British Empire has become a global power, but it creates social inequality and closed social stratification in its society, thus making the despicable nobles act as they please to the lower society. Tells the story of William James Moriarty is a young mathematics professor who has shown his extraordinary intelligence since he was a child, along with his brother Albert and Louis, living the simple life of a noble. However, outside of his ordinary life, William is a crime consultant who appears to wreak havoc on despicable nobles, intending to pursue his wish, namely, a new world built from the ashes of the old.

Yuukoku no Moriarty is an interesting series, when I watched this series, I remembered that one year ago in the fall, we were presented with a series that both took the theme of Mystery, namely the “Kabuchou Sherlock” series which could provide a modified story from the Sherlock Holmes series. , and for Yuukoku no Moriarty we are presented with a story that takes another point of view from the Sherlock Holmes series. When watching this series, it was very interesting and quite impressed me, because this series can provide interesting topics and are discussed with good and reasonable discussion.

Yuukoku no Moriarty has aired until episode eight, in the first episode we are shown an episode that shows the uniqueness of the character and the uniqueness of the story, then the next episode we are presented with the beginning of the story, from the background to the character’s goal, and in the middle to the latest we start presented the main conflict that this anime wants to tell. If we talk about the presentation of the story, it can be said that it is normal and the formation of the story in one episode feels the same in every episode, from the introduction of the topic, then the reason for the story, and the execution. However, even so, this series has strength in topics and discussions on these topics, so that even though it feels the same in every episode, it still feels interesting to watch.

If we talk about the story, what I like about the story in this series is that the message it presents is very interesting, and it feels like the messages presented have been pretty much forgotten at this time. In addition, the background presented reinforces the existing problems, and can also make the audience who might ‘only’ watch it feel that the problem only existed at that time, even though currently there are quite a lot of problems, so for me, this is one of the things. which I like the most.

Character Yuukoku no Moriarty

There are 4 main characters in this series, namely, William James Moriarty, Louis James Moriarty, Albert James Moriarty, and Sherlock Holmes. When discussing the main characters, all I know is William and Sherlock, while the other two characters I don’t know whether they are original characters from this series or based on the Sherlock Holmes novel series, because well I’m not a big fan of the Sherlock Holmes series, so for that matter, I can not discuss this much hehe.

As for the characters themselves, I’m confused about what to talk about, because I still can’t figure out the relationship between the four of them. The character of Sherlock, who may be the antagonist is also still very gray, because the character has only appeared a little, and is still very little explained, so I still can’t conclude whether he will be an enemy or a friend.

If you look at the characters, there are still many things that have not been explained, besides that, I also want to know whether this series will provide character development or not because if there is no character development, the story in this series will be very boring. I think the characters in this series will be developed, but for the development, it feels like something needs to be sacrificed, and judging from the existing episodes where the development of supporting characters emerged from a tragedy, I think it might be used also on the main characters in this series.
